Between floor activities, midnight pillow fights, runs to Halo Farms for ice cream, and quiet study sessions at Barnes and Noble the two became very close. Setting the date... Ron proposed on September 15th, 2001 - Lalana's birthday. Their engagement was announced on September 22nd, 2001. During the year preceding the wedding, the bride created the favors for the wedding ceremony and reception with the help of her friends and sister during several afternoons of laughter and anime viewing scattered over several months. Bridesmaid Karen Richards created the bows for decoration at the ceremony site.
The Bridal Shower... The bridal shower was thrown on Saturday, July 19, 2003, as a surprise by the bridal party. It was held at the home of the bride's parents in South Jersey. (click on any thumbnail to view full size photos)
The Bachelorette Party... The bachelorette party was thrown on Friday and Saturday, September 12th and 13th. It began in South Jersey at the home of Karen, including hair styling ad make up for all of the girls in preparation for a night on the town. A limo drove the girls into Philadelphia for dinner and drinks at Filo's in Old City. The limo then took the girls to Envy Night Club for dancing. The close of the night saw the girls hopping out of the limo for a quick snack stop at Wawa before heading back to Karen's for a sleep over. The morning brought sleepy girls to a day at the spa at Louis Christian Wayne Roberts Salon and Spa for a day of relaxation and pampering. (click on any thumbnail to view full size photos)
The Bachelor Party... The bachelor party was thrown on Saturday and Sunday, September 13th and 14th. It began at the home of the bachelor for meeting and heading out for the night. On Friday, September 26th, the couple gave their respects to Thai Buddhist monks in a ceremony for the making of merit by presenting offerings and received blessings for their future lives together. This was held at Lalana's parents' home with close friends and family.
In celebration of the event, several friends of the bride decided to join her in dressing in Thai traditional costume. Mrs. Ampai Kusakull created the costumes using fabric brought by Tharatip and Nisit Dararutana from Thailand and adapted the costumes to the different body types of the American ladies.
After prayers and blessings were complete, all guests were invited to take part in a feast of Thai culinary specialties. The Rehearsal... Held at Venice Plaza in Berlin, NJ 08009. Memorable moments:

Preparations... The bridal party met early Saturday morning at Rizzieri Salon in Washington Twp. to begin wedding day preparations. Once hair and makeup was complete, the girls returned to the home of Lalana's parents to eat a snack and dress. Some extra time found the bride and her sister playing video games on their brother's Nintendo 64. Once it was time, all the bridesmaids dressed and helped the bride into her gown. Photos were taken at the house and at Washington Lake Park, a favorite childhood place of the bride. Memorable moments:
Wedding Program... The wedding programs were printed and assembled by the bride. The cover was of 64lb. weight brilliant white card stock with the names of the bride and groom and the weddign date, as well as the same verse used in the wedding invitation. The inside of the program was printed on 24lb. grey parchment paper and including information on the wedding party and the order of events in the ceremony. The program was bound with a deep blue ribbon, hand tied. Picture of the wedding program... Ceremony... The ceremony was held in the afternoon on September 27th, 2003. The location was outdoors at the gazebo in front of Venice Plaza in Berlin, NJ. The weather was fair and balmy with soft breezes.
